Position Descriptions

Take the opportunity to lead in one of these key roles:

President-Elect
  • Participate in board of directors meetings/conference calls
  • Participate in executive committee meetings/conference calls
  • Serve as liaison to AAEM committees when asked by the president
  • Serve as spokesperson to outside organizations when asked by the president
  • Along with the President, appoint committee chairs and committee members
  • Regularly review AAEM internal emails and respond as needed
  • Aid in staff operational issues
Secretary-Treasurer
  • Participate in board of directors meetings/conference calls
  • Participate in executive committee meetings/conference calls
  • Co-sign AAEM checks in a timely manner
  • Work with staff to prepare budgets and treasurer’s reports
  • Serve as liaison to AAEM committees when asked by the president
  • Regularly review AAEM internal emails and respond as needed
  • Aid staff in operational issues
At-Large Board Member (three positions available)
  • Elected to serve a three year term
  • Participate in board of directors meetings/conference calls
  • Regularly review AAEM internal emails and respond as needed
  • Serve as liaison to AAEM committees when asked by the president
  • Call lapsed members to determine reasons for not renewing
