Her career is rooted in education, trainee development and mentorship. Her dedication and expertise have been nationally recognized with awards from both SCCM and the AMA. Dr. Bailey also serves as an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Bailey’s path of volunteerism, mentorship and leadership led her to be the first Emergency Medicine trained President of SCCM.

My name is Harman S Gill and I am a dual trained EM-CCM physician here at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Ally M. Hynes, MD is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician whom completed her fellowship training in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania in August of 2021 where she served as the SCC Chief Administrative Fellow. She will be starting as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of New Mexico, where she will be joining one of the largest groups of emergency medicine trained critically care intensivists. Her clinical and academical interest include trauma and critical care in addition to airway emergencies. Dr. Tsuyoshi Mitarai was born and grew up in Japan until he was 17. He graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine in 2002 and completed his combined internal medicine/emergency medicine residency at University of Maryland in 2007. He finished his critical care fellowship at Stanford University in 2009, and stayed on as a faculty to attend in emergency department as well as medical ICU. He created Emergency Critical Care Program in 2017 to improve the quality of care for critically ill patients in emergency department (https://www.acep.org/how-we-serve/sections/critical-care-medicine/news/july-2018/stanford-emergency-critical-care-program-eccp/) He earned multiple teaching awards including Outstanding Educator Award (2019, Stanford University, CA) and The Henry J. Dr. Phillips is a former junior high teacher turned emergency physician and intensivist. He graduated medical school from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and went on to do both an emergency medicine residency at the Stanford University/Kaiser EM program and an anesthesia critical care fellowship at Stanford University. His research focusses on health professions education, which culminated in his edited volume, Survey Methods in Medical and Health Professions Education, slated for publication in Winter 2020. He is also the editor-in-chief and founder of EM Coach (www.emcoach.org), an artificial intelligence-driven emergency medicine written board review program. Additionally, he is serving as the chair of the AAEM Critical Care Section 2020-2021. Dr. Phillips continues to practice clinically in the ED and ICU.

I completed my undergraduate degree and further graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, and then medical school at U. of Maryland. I was the first graduate of the combined EM-IM Residency at U. Maryland Medical System (UMMS) where I was Chief Resident. I completed my Fellowship in Critical Care at UMMS/Shock Trauma Center and later did an Advanced Fellowship there in Extracorporeal Organ Support. I was a faculty member in EM and IM at East Carolina U. where I developed and directed the EM-IM residency program and was Medical Director of the ICU Consult Service. After moving to Houston, I was an Associate Professor of EM and IM at Baylor College of Medicine and Director of ED Critical Care. For the last 10 years, I have been at U. FL College of Medicine -Jacksonville where I am a Professor of EM, Neurology and Surgery, and am the Director of the Advanced Lung/ECLS Service, Director of the Med-Surg ICU, and Co-Director of the NSICU. Elias Wan, MD FAAEM is a board-certified Emergency Medicine and Critical Care physician. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Icahn School of Medicine – Beth Israel in Manhattan and Internal Medicine Critical Care Fellowship at Albert Einstein School of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York where he also served as the Chief Academic Fellow in his senior year. Dr. Wan staffs the Cardiothoracic ICU at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn while also working in the Emergency Department. Dr. Wan previously served as a MDCalc Fellow and Councilor for the Critical Care Medicine Section Council at AAEM and currently serves as the Finance/Secretary Chair for the Critical Care Medicine Section Council at AAEM. He is passionate about educating about ECMO, LVAD and resuscitation, especially regarding the dynamic care in post cardiac patients. He also loves to lecture on topics regarding hemodynamic management for critically ill patients.

Greg is an Emergency and Critical Care Medicine who grew up in the Boston area but has spent most of his adult life wandering up and down the I-90 corridor. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center in 2017, serving as chief resident. He then completed a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2019. Since then he has returned to Albany, working as an Emergency physician and Medical intensivist. He is also the Clerkship Director for Critical Care for the 4th year medical students at Albany Medical College. He worked with multiple groups within Albany Medical Center and the Capital region to improve access to care for COVID-19 patients and to standardize the latest treatments. He is co-lead physician for the COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Service. His interests include COVID-19, PEs, bronchoscopy, process improvement, and griping about the Patriots.
