Health care is changing rapidly. Urgent and emergent conditions require rapid, accurate diagnosis, and treatment decisions. This educational activity is delivered through nationally recognized leaders in emergency medicine.
This course provides opportunities for attendees to learn about current and progressive trends in the practice of emergent, urgent, and critical care. Attendees will practice their own decision-making and manual skills with concurrent feedback and instruction. The design is concise, high yield sessions with audience participation.
This year’s course will enhance knowledge in the following areas: cardiac in cardiac arrest, airway management in cardiac arrest, pediatric critical care, pediatric respiratory distress, left ventricular assist devices, anticoagulation in pulmonary embolism, physician wellness, professionalism, and delirium in the ED. Competencies will be ensured through small group workshops, panel discussions, Q&A, and audience response.
