Your Nomination Matters: To ensure a fair and representative election, only self-nominations will be considered for the voting ballot. If you have someone in mind for a role, motivate them to nominate themselves. It’s important for each candidate to personally demonstrate their willingness to serve as a section officer.
The nomination portal closes on February 6, 2025. Afterward, AAEM staff will review each candidate’s membership status and eligibility to hold office. Candidates must renew their membership by this date to qualify for inclusion on the ballot.
Uncontested Positions: Per AAEM bylaws, elections are not required for positions with only one nominee. However, multiple candidates for each leadership role are strongly encouraged to ensure a competitive election.
