CCMS-AAEM Mentorship Program

The CCMS-AAEM provides a mentorship program to its members, allowing them to connect and share their expertise. The program is designed to promote growth in the field of Critical Care, particularly in leadership development, medical education, professional development, research, or content production. CCMS-AAEM offers various ways for mentors and mentees to collaborate, including:

  • Writing an article for Common Sense
  • Getting involved in the AAEM Scientific Assembly
  • Recording an episode of the Critical Care in Emergency Medicine podcast
  • Creating a Critical Care Hack video featuring a brief (3 minutes or less) tip or “hack” for different critical care medicine topics
Interested in Becoming a Mentee?
  • Mentees must establish a Critical Care goal with their mentor.
  • Mentees must be a 2025-2026 CCMS-AAEM or CCMS-AAEM/RSA member.
  • This program is mentee-led. Mentees must have availability and be willing to dedicate time for regular meetings and follow-ups from their mentor.

To mentees who have signed up and are unmatched:

Thank you for your ongoing interest in CCMS-AAEM. We apologize for the delay in matching you with a mentor. We are currently enhancing our mentorship program and recruiting new mentors to join our team. We realize that your intentions may have shifted during this period, and we kindly request that you indicate whether you still wish to be paired with a mentor by selecting ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in the broadcast email sent your way. You won’t be expected to fill out a new form during the calling for mentees. The mentorship pairing process will occur after recruitment has finalized.
