Fred Earl Kency Jr, MD, FAAEM is a board-certified emergency physician and a native of Jackson, Mississippi who is passionate about men’s health. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Alcorn State University and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Kency proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, and was deployed to Africa and Europe, prior to his honorable discharge. He returned home to Jackson, MS to complete his emergency medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He currently serves as a community emergency physician at Baptist Hospital in Jackson Mississippi and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He continues to serve the community as a leader in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, 100 Black Men of America, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).
