Dr. Aintablian is an emergency physician and flight surgeon, as well as a co-founder and director of the UCLA Space Medicine Program, which houses the first emergency medicine-based space medicine fellowship in the U.S. He started college at 15 years old and completed a master’s degree in molecular genetics and biochemistry at 21 years old from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Aintablian has served on the AAEM board in the past as the AAEM/RSA president. He finds his greatest passions in the vast frontiers of space, in the history of his ancestral homeland, Armenia, and in advancing the field of emergency medicine both in the U.S. and abroad.
